The fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) will be held in Doha, Qatar from 23 to 27 January 2022. In this context, as a global LDC civil society platform, LDC Watch organised “Asia-Pacific Regional Consultation on LDCs” (virtually) on 21 October 2021. A review of IPoA, sharing of initial thoughts on the draft of the Doha Programme of Action for LDCs for 2022-2031 and discussion regarding CoP26 preparations and CSOs demands, COVID-19 pandemic, WTO TRIPS Waiver, civic space of CSOs, etc. were discussed in the programme.

Similarly, the LDC CSO Forum core group is participating in the UN OHRLLS planning meeting to support the LDC CSO Forum preparation on weekly basis.
